System Engineer L2.5 – Microsoft 365 (MSP Experience Required)
Location: 80% Remote / 20% Onsite (DMV Area)
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 + Benefits + Bonus

Step into a high-impact role at a growing Managed Service Provider where your Microsoft 365 expertise will directly shape client success. As a System Engineer L2/2.5, you’ll be the go-to technical resource for escalated M365 issues across a diverse client base, owning everything from Intune configurations and SharePoint troubleshooting to Exchange Online performance tuning.

This role is built for someone who thrives on variety, collaboration, and client interaction. You’ll handle meaningful work—not basic password resets—while mentoring Tier 1 techs, driving real change in client environments, and playing a key role in the delivery of high-quality, strategic IT support.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Handle Escalations: Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 issues across M365 workloads (Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, etc.)

  • Client-Facing Support: Deliver high-touch, phone-based support to MSP clients—clear, helpful, and solution-driven.

  • Environment Cleanup & Optimization: Identify root causes of recurring issues, propose long-term fixes, and help improve client environments.

  • Mentor Tier 1 Staff: Share knowledge, guide team members, and help raise the bar for technical execution.

  • Occasional Network/Server Touchpoints: Assist with VPNs, DNS, firewall rules, or Windows Server issues that overlap with M365 services.

  • Document & Share: Create SOPs, contribute to internal knowledge bases, and help keep the whole team informed.

  • Client Relationship Building: Become a trusted technical contact—someone clients rely on for both answers and guidance.


Must-Haves:

  • Experience with within an Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Proven experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID, etc.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and basic to intermediate firewall knowledge
  • Strong communication skills with a client-service mindset
