System Engineer (Managed Services):
We are a private, growing Managed Services Provider headquartered out of Rochelle Park, NJ. We offer remote, co-managed, and virtual CTO IT services to small and medium-sized businesses. We are dedicated to building long-term client relationships through exceptional service, integrity, and results-driven solutions.
Due to steady growth, we are seeking a technically savvy and meticulous System Engineer (Managed Services) who has previously worked for a MSP. This is a hybrid WFH role with 2 days at home and 3 days in office.
The System Engineer (Managed Services) role involves providing technical leadership for project participants and driving the execution of various IT projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, including, but not limited to, Microsoft 365 migration, SharePoint migration, network equipment setup, firewall and VPN configuration, server software installation, InTune deployments, and cloud migration to Azure.
System Engineer (Managed Services) Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team and clients, fostering team technical expertise.
- Effectively communicate complex technical decisions to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
- Lead architecture and design creation for projects, and drive the execution of technical task breakdown and estimation.
- Execute all stages of IT projects, including Office 365 Migration, SharePoint Migration, and Cloud Migration to Azure.
- Lead Office 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations and ensuring all data is accurately and securely transferred.
- Design and implement new network systems, including network equipment setup during office moves, firewall, and VPN configuration.
- Execute server hardware and software installations, maintain detailed documentation, and ensure compatibility with the existing IT infrastructure.
- Oversee InTune deployment across client organizations, ensuring all devices are properly configured and compliant with company policies.
- Conduct AD migrations, ensuring all user accounts and permissions are accurately replicated in the new system.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met.
