This is a full-time role based in Birmingham, Alabama.

This is a hybrid work from home, work in office and visit client sites.

This Cloud and Managed Services provider is based in Atlanta and just opened a new office in Birmingham. They built a model that currently has the largest market share of dental IT support in Atlanta – and now they are opening their second office location this year in Birmingham, Alabama.

They are hiring with the expectation this role will grow into management-track as this office in Birmingham continues expanding into new client segments and adjacent markets around Birmingham.

The Systems Engineer (best described as a Level 2) will help lead infrastructure improvements, cloud migrations and work in a client facing capacity on client sites (all local). This role is a good fit for someone who wants to help grow a managed services practice or interested in operations or desires to move into a leadership function.

Systems Engineer (Tier 2) – Managed Services

  • Receive training and work in a support and project capacity; learn how to design and consult.
  • Work autonomously to support three SMB clients (dental offices) – be the face of the company.
  • Maintaining and improving the technology infrastructure working closely with our remote team in Atlanta to ensure operational efficiency
  • Leading M365 migration

Systems Engineer (Tier 2) – Managed Services/ Hybrid Work Requirements:

  • Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) 
  • Understanding of complex multi-site IT infrastructures and coordinating with clients to maintain and improve them
  • Experience in managing hybrid environments, with knowledge of cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience working and understanding working with VMware and/or Hyper-V
  • Providing advanced level technical support for end-users
  • Experience deploying and configuration Window Servers
  • Hands-on experience with M365, P2V, and V2V migrations
