A growing and award-winning managed IT services provider is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join their expanding team in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. With a 30-year legacy supporting industries like manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and more, this company delivers proactive, strategic IT solutions that help businesses succeed.

As a Technical Account Manager, you’ll serve as the trusted advisor for a portfolio of clients—leading technical conversations, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping businesses align technology with their strategic goals. You’ll work directly with C-level stakeholders, supported by a strong internal team of engineers and leadership who are committed to delivering a white-glove client experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conduct regular client strategy meetings to assess IT environments and business needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, including executives
  • Develop customized IT roadmaps and technology plans based on business objectives
  • Uncover risks, operational gaps, and new opportunities through insightful client discovery
  • Present and propose IT solutions alongside the engineering and sales teams
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Participate in technical planning sessions and internal account reviews

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment (required)
  • Strong client-facing consulting and relationship management skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Confidence leading discussions with executives and business leaders
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure (cloud, networking, security, servers, Microsoft environments)
  • Exceptional listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Local to the southwest suburbs of Chicago and able to work hybrid onsite
  • Willing to pass background check, drug screening, and complete a hands-on technical assessment during the interview process
