Technical Account Manager – MSP (Client Technology Advisor)
Location: Baltimore/Washington Metro Area (Hybrid)
Salary: $80,000-$90,000 + Benefits
What You’ll Do
- Client Technology Alignment: Conduct regular assessments, document client environments, and ensure systems align with best practices.
- Technology Roadmaps: Work with vCIOs and Client Success teams to develop strategic IT roadmaps based on client needs.
- Consulting & Recommendations: Identify gaps in IT environments and recommend improvements to enhance security, efficiency, and performance.
- Standards Implementation: Ensure clients adhere to industry best practices (ITIL, NIST, CIS) and emerging technologies.
- Technical Guidance: Act as a resource for internal teams, including Service Desk, NOC, and Professional Services, ensuring smooth execution of IT strategies.
- Client Engagement: Participate in onboarding, business reviews, and executive meetings, serving as the go-to technical resource.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of experience in IT consulting, systems/network administration, or IT strategy within an MSP environment.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Servers, networking, Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, firewalls, and VoIP solutions.
- Strong business process knowledge, with the ability to translate technical solutions into real-world business benefits.
- Familiarity with IT frameworks like ITSM, ITIL, and NIST.
- Exceptional communication skills, with confidence engaging executives and senior leadership.
- A proactive, strategic mindset—you enjoy solving IT challenges before they become problems.
