Leonard is a Systems Support Engineer (L1.5) with MSP experience since 2021, most recently with Community IT Innovators where he worked in a client-aligned model supporting nonprofit organizations. He operates above a typical helpdesk role, handling L2-level tickets, day-to-day administration, and small project work while also serving as a primary point of contact for assigned clients. His experience includes M365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint), Intune device management, onboarding/offboarding, deployments, and assisting with migrations from Google Workspace to M365 and on-prem to Azure. He has also supported Windows 10 to 11 upgrades, reimaging, and endpoint management across both Windows and Mac environments. On the infrastructure side, he has hands-on exposure to Active Directory, Group Policy, file servers, VMware environments, and Azure AD, along with assisting on firewall setups and networking projects with Meraki under senior engineers. He also brings some exposure to security, including handling phishing incidents, working within Microsoft Defender, blocking malicious activity, and escalating threats appropriately. He spent the majority of his time onsite (4 days per week), making him very comfortable in client-facing environments and hands-on support scenarios. Personality-wise, he is calm, professional, and engaging—someone who is easy to work with and dependable in front of clients. He was recently impacted by a layoff due to budget cuts after a major client was lost and is now seeking a new opportunity, ideally in a hybrid or remote environment, though flexible. He is targeting $65K (open to $60K for a direct move into security) and brings a solid foundation with the right mindset to continue growing into a strong systems or security-focused engineer.
