Amr has been with Securiport since June 2022, where he works as a System Administrator II supporting a large managed services and security environment across DC, Virginia, and multiple overseas locations. In his current role, he serves as the senior systems administrator for his local team, with tickets often routing to him first for triage, escalation, or reassignment. His day-to-day work includes Microsoft 365 administration, SharePoint access support, Active Directory and GPO management, new user onboarding, licensing, permissions, and troubleshooting connectivity issues involving kiosks, switches, VLANs, port security, and firewall-related problems. He also has strong Windows Server experience and has built Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file server, and RADIUS environments from scratch multiple times for new client deployments. On the cloud side, Amr has hands-on Azure experience including building at least one full Azure environment from the ground up, creating tenants, domains, resource groups, virtual networks, Azure VMs, Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune onboarding, Conditional Access policies, and site-to-site VPNs between Azure and on-prem firewall environments.
Before Securiport, Amr completed a contract role at DSI where he built SCCM from scratch and trained the internal system administrator, further adding to a background that already blends systems administration, endpoint management, virtualization, networking, and automation. He has completed at least one on-prem Exchange to Microsoft 365 migration, multiple Hyper-V to VMware ESXi migrations, and a physical-to-virtual migration using Veeam. He is also strong with PowerShell, including scripting and automation with Microsoft Graph, and has networking experience with Cisco Catalyst, SonicWall, and Azure virtual networking. Amr holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from the University of Wales and maintains a strong certification profile that includes Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CCNP, and ITIL Foundation v4. Overall, he presents as a well-rounded MSP-style systems engineer with strong Microsoft and Azure depth, solid networking capability, and the technical maturity to handle both escalated support and infrastructure buildouts.
